GENERATION X SPIDER-MAN (Issue #51)

UNFINISHED BUSINESS
After being bitten by a genetically engineered spider, young Peter Parker finds that he now has incredibly enhanced strength, speed and agility. Along with the ability to adhere to any surface, a precognitive spider-sense that warns him of danger and a pair of mechanized web shooters, the idealistic teenager fights against evil as the costumed hero Spider-Man.
Set during the decade of the 1990's, this is a Generation X version of the Amazing Spider-Man story. This is a time when young people believed that they had the power to change the world for the better. In order to make a difference, Peter will need to rely on his friends for help and have the courage to believe in good.

LAST ISSUE:
For nearly eight months Peter Parker has been living in Wyoming. After giving up his career as Spider-Man, the disillusioned twenty year old has been living a life of isolation. Alone and depressed, he has all but given up on life. Not really living, but merely existing, the young man tried his best to deal with the sadness and despair. Feeling as though it was a mistake to embark on his career as a costumed hero, Peter wanted nothing more than to forget the past.
Things change with the unexpected arrival of Iron Man. The golden avenger helps Peter save innocent lives. In a historic meeting of iconic heroes, they get to know one another and bond. Sharing their stories helps the younger man try to make sense of his life. So much so that Peter decides to return to New York and give life another try. He re-enrolls at Empire State University and resumes his academic career. Everything seems back to normal, but an evil and venomous foe waits in the wings.
