The gloomy town of Forks Washington was full of mysteries and folklore yet to be discovered.
From Quileute legends, to vampire folklore, to a sudden uptake in murders around their town; Eneva Jean 'Ej' Salice watches everything from afar, slowly uncovering each mystery simply by observing. Befriending the new girl, Bella Swan, was just the beginning of a string of unexplainable events.
The distance between them grows with each secret her new friend keeps, and Ej can't help but have a sneaking suspicion that Edward Cullen had something to do with their falling out. One by one, each of her friends fall into a similar distance until they can no longer hide the secrets being brought to light.
One of those friends is none other than Jacob Black.
He gains an unexplainable sense of peace upon hearing that she knows about their world, the secrets they'd been withholding from an entire town, and the fact that Bella was at the center of it all.
With nothing more to hide, unforeseen events force him to address whether or not he's willing to let go of the idea of chasing after Bella Swan.
What happens when Ej refuses to accept the excuse of a 'coincidence'?
Will her friends continue to hide the truth?
With Jacob and Bella growing closer with each passing day, does Ej choose to stay away?
Or will they all have to accept that for once in her life Ej is inserting herself into their storyline?
