Owen is given a choice: take the cure and become human again, or die with the gift Louis gave him. He chooses death rather than abandon it. Believing vampires are beings of pure evil-too tainted for any true God to welcome into the everlasting kingdom-Owen accepts that he will be damned forever. But instead of eternal punishment, he awakens in the space between true eternal life and eternal damnation... where Louis is waiting.
