Yes there is a little bit of k-pop demon hunter references within this story. But not directly in Korea.

What happens when a descendant of a half demon/demon hunter and a demon just wants a normal life? Thats exactly all Izuke wanted with Ryusei. Born in Kyoto japan, all she wanted was to life a normal life away from running from the CEO of Ishikawa industries. Her mother took her away from the laboratories where she was being experimented on for her demonic powers. She holds all the memories of growing up, and having to run constantly.

Ryusei Ichicara was born a normal human, having met Izuke in kindergarten. He doesn't remember her due to having his memory erased of her along with the entire school. He can't help the pull he has to her. Izuke's mother knew he had strength to keep Izuke calm. But also knew he would put himself in danger each time to keep her calm. He was considered a control subject at Ishikawa. No matter how many times his memory got erased, he'd always feel a pull towards Izuke.
