𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐀 𝐋𝐄𝐇𝐍𝐒𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐑 had fought for magneto's cause since before she even met him.
all meeting him did was encourage her into taking a more active approach to fighting for mutant rights. she had been hated, ridiculed and tossed aside the moment she was born and magneto was the first person not to treat her the same.
so when charles xavier's death draws them to the x-mansion as a result of magneto's newfound ownership of it and his decision that he would lead the x-men, verena isn't sure what to think. as much as she appreciated the opportunity to see rogue and gambit again, she knew that this wouldn't end favourably for them all.
sometimes. just sometimes. she hated being right.
