Cherry, Atticus, and Patch are babysitting a young boy named Edmond who dreams of Chanticleer and the Grand Duke of Owls, when the story mentions that there's rains and floods around, real rains and floods start to invade them and when the Grand Duke is proved to be real, they must go to the city to bring Chanticleer back to bring up the sun and get rid of the owls for good.
