Too late.

Everything around me was crumbling. I held him close to my chest, as he choked on his own blood. Ruby red, warm, and sticky. I let it drip uncontrollably. My tears would not cease, and my heart refused to believe.

I have been deceived, I was tricked.

I've let my emotions cloud my judgement. Now, I stand to lose everything I hold dear... including the man whom I truly love.

It was all an elaborate plan to steal my powers. Orchestrated by the very people I trusted and loved. Everything was in chaos, and I sat crying in the middle of the destruction.

It cannot end like this. It must not.

With every fiber in my body I called forth what little strength and magic I could muster. The past held my salvation. The past must be re-written. The past must be corrected.

In a blinding light, the battlefield began to fade, as I felt myself being transported to the past... the past that must be destroyed to ensure a brighter future.
