I physically see his eyes darken, slightly, but he gives me another one of his smirks.
"I know" he tilts his head with malicious writing all over him.
He abruptly grabs my wrist, fast and sharp. Fuck how can I be so stupid.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing"
"Don't worry, sunshine, I'm just testing you." He narrows his eyes. "You're strong and I know you'll never give up. It just proves everything I need to know.
"And what is that?"
"It just shows how far I have to go to break you" The bell goes off. With that he lets go, grabbing his stuff he makes his way to leave. I keep eyes on him, I see the way he walks away, as if that didn't just happen. I sit still trying to decipher his words before I make my way to leave as well.
