In the small town of Silvestria, Kieran is just trying to find his way and live a normal life.
Well, as normal as any Faerie working at the local hardware store in a town full of Mythical Creatures can get.
For the last five summers, things have been going well for Kieran. He's got a steady job, has established a home, family and friends, but when a mysterious stranger returns to town, it shifts his whole reality around making Kieran rethink his definition of normal.
After decades of betrayal from those most important to him, all Marcus is attempting to do is right the wrongs of his past and avenge what is rightfully his. Things are made a bit more difficult though when he returns to his old hometown for 'business' and stumbles into the beautiful Faerie who has captured his attention and leaves the aged Mythic wanting more.
But, with enemies at his heels and a lifetime of rage swelling within him, he's not sure he has what it takes to be what Kieran needs.

'The Lotus and the Hound' is a Hades and Persephone retelling of sorts, filled with mythical creatures, found family, belonging, revenge and romance. It is set in a fantasy world where Mythical Creatures are the norm, magic is at every turn and the monsters that haunt your dreams just might actually end up being your neighbor.
