"But I'm not human, Robert," I cross my arms, avoiding his gaze. His burning, warm, caring gaze that I know will break me.
"I don't care. Unfortunately for you, I actually like you the way you are," his strong hands wrap around my shoulders and he leans down to force me to look at him. "Why do you always hide away? What are you so afraid of me seeing?"
My breath gets caught in my throat. His eyes are so wide, so inviting.
