A young minstrel searching for inspiration, finds it in the castle of a wicked king who keeps two cursed lovers as his slaves.
This is a short story I wrote in 2003, I think, and it was published in a chapbook locally as the winner of a local short story contest. I'll be posting it in four parts.

Dragons are the apex predator. Seems pretty straight forward, but because of their threat, they have to be killed. That's pretty much the way of thinking for Kinsey and her dragon killer squadron, until Kinsey makes a mistake.
