Although, that's probably because all their memories of who they are and where they came from have been removed from their minds. And they've been separated. Great. 
Eilwen had always thought that something about her was missing. She knew she had been adopted, but not why, or where here parents were. But when on her 16th birthday she changes into a huge fire breathing lizard, well let's just say that it was totally NOT what she was expecting.
Aneirin faced exactly the same things as Eilwen. When the two received their memories on their day of transformation, they have to try and find each other and save all that they loved from a war that they were forced to abandon. The question is, do they even want to?
