Heaven, is not a perfect system. Or at least, it wasn't to the beings who predated it. The Proto-Angels. The First Angels. God's very own Beta Tested, successful creations. They predated everything, from Heaven, to the Choirs, to the Archangels and Seraphims themselves. They were, in every way...the raw blueprint for everything that would come after them...

Unfortunately, they were all killed in the First War, when the Archangels chose to destroy them out of fear of them. And only the First Proto-Angel, God's First Born, survived. He survived through siding with Heaven, rather than his own kind...and it killed him inside. But even after betraying his original siblings, and fighting for the side that promised to show mercy...he was untrusted. Feared. And when Lucifer fell and God went on Sabbatical, did the Archangels strike. They ambushed him, and chained him like a common criminal...

But Azazel wouldn't go down without a fight...

Channeling all of his power, he tore through Heaven's forces, and ripped a hole in the realm, that would never truly heal... And once he was done...he vanished. Escaped. To Hell. Where he would wait...for his chance at Revenge...
