Aria wasn't like everyone else, not in the way most people are different. She wasn't super smart, or stand out, in fact she kept herself hidden. Always in the back. She was different because she was one of the final few sound benders. With most of them disappearing without a trace she made it her mission to find out what happened to her people.

Caspian was an ancient bender, having mastered the art of sound bending. As he's gotten older his powers have weakened, disappearing even, He has made it his purpose to help aria master and control her powers to help her defeat whatever battles she is going to face.
