Ain't got nothin', won't be nothin'.

That's the motto that most of the boys from the east side of Brooklyn went by. Some of them were thieves, drug dealers, murderers, or even rapists. They were an array of criminals, but all for one reason - to get by. Then there were the others, the ones who were athletes or writers or engineers, talented people who actually had a ticket out of the hood.

Then there were people in the middle who got along with everybody but never really chose one side. People like Max.

When you float along in the river that is the ghetto, you may think you're unbothered, but there is always something waiting. There will always be a stick in the water, and for Max, it all came at the wrong time. Most of his friends were on the criminal side, but he was just about to get his one-way departure ticket before things came crashing down. There were only two possibilities: either he got stuck in the hood forever, or he lost his life.

After living here for so long, you realize that those two are one and the same.

Sex, drugs and pleasure is all a man knows in the world of gangs. Power is every man's end goal, but no one craves it more than Nicholas Black, the leader of The Black Knights. Born into the family of The White Dragons, Summer White is the youngest of three brothers. Kept hidden from the world for as long as her family could, she was their peace within the chaos, a light to return to after selling their souls to the devil in exchange for power and the fear of others. Summer White was the core of The White Dragons and when Nicholas Black snatches her away, the world becomes darker - the exact replication of his horrid desires becomes the reality everyone must live in and no one pays the price more than the innocent white soul of the young girl forced to become a woman at the age of fourteen. Tainted, beaten and abused, Summer's soul becomes another piece in Nicholas's collection, but unlike the others, for him, hers is special. Her body is a vessel, a trophy of the win he never wants to forget and can't let go of. Nicholas forgave no one, not even his younger brother. Kai Black also suffered through his brother's wrath becoming a version of himself even he couldn't recognize. Summer and Kai lived in two parallel worlds, facing the same monster, feeling the same losses, dying the same death, escaping the same reality yet choosing to live much different lives, making drastically different decisions. With divine timing, their worlds collide and it becomes time for the game of life that Nick had begun to finally end. But to win, one must sacrifice everything which is a price Nicholas, Kai and Summer are all willing to pay. So, the question is: who will win if every player is an exact reflection of the other? Who would you put your bets on? -- Being weak is an act, loving is a sin & losing is forbidden. One decision. One wrong move. Life is a game waiting to be played.

Please keep all ya' chains tucked inside your shirts at all times. Dress well, but not too well or else you're more likely to be robbed. Keep your eyes to yourself and mind your business, even when the situation tells you not to. If you see something, certainly do not say something-the one thing we all hate is a snitch. Try to be indoors before ten and tell ya' hoe ass momma to get the dope herself. Stay safe, be smart and think positive. Welcome to The Ville, everybody. *short story*
