When Will Byers moves to California, everything in his life changes; his home, his routine and the distance between who he was and who he's becoming. What doesn't fade is the trauma he carried from Hawkins... or the quiet bond he forms with Mattheo "Theo" Hayes. 

Theo is there from the beginning of Will's California life. His best friend at school. The boy who walks him home. The one who notices his silences and stays anyway. 

Through the roller rink, the road trip to Utah, the search for answers about Eleven and the return to Hawkins, Theo never leaves Will's side. And when the war against the Upside Down isn't over in Season 4, Season 5 becomes the final test of everything they're survived together. 

As Hawkins faces its breaking point, this is a story about growing up in the middle of a nightmare, about first love that refuses to disappear and about choosing each other when the world is ending.
