The existence of Shades are as old as history. Soul-eating entities with skin as black as ink and a presence as cold as ice. They don't have an end goal, their only purpose: to consume.

Through a series of events, a Shade meets Dawn, a shy, noble girl that's still coping the loss of her father, who died three years prior.

The Shade curses himself to her umbrella. All the while, making a vow - to protect her and watch over her, even if that means ostracizing himself from the rest of his species.
