The Light Thief

Henry, a seasoned ice scout, is tasked with hunting down Tarina, a rogue scout who's been siphoning energy from anchored ice balls, rendering them useless for the bridge to Proxima Centauri. Each theft delays the mission, threatening the slow behemoths-massive ships carrying humanity's remnants-that rely on these resources. But when Henry finds Tarina, he discovers the thief isn't hoarding for greed. She is creating a fragile sanctuary since she won't sacrifice herself for a centuries-long doomed plan.
