Charlie and Lilith bucket were the best of friends, after all they were each others only friends. The buckets lived in poverty and couldn't afford things like good clothes and anything but cabbage soup to eat. Charlie had been working since the age of nine as a shoe shiner to provide for his family and in turn they treated him well.
