That day, at the threshold of late autumn and early winter, in a silent night carried by a cool, drifting breeze, the full moon crossed paths with the lotus of the wetlands for the very first time. Suddenly, a faint silhouette appeared upon the clear water. At times, its radiant glow bewitched everything around - at times, it plunged the entire sky into the darkness of a deep new-moon night.

In that blurred world of light and shadow lived the dark-skinned, enigmatic Moon. Into his life, the sudden arrival of the pure and graceful lotus (Padda). will she be able to wipe away the last remaining stains of his long night?
Or will she remain forever as the guiding star, bound by affection, staying close to the blemished Moon for eternity?
