Love at first bite

Liza is a normal 18 year old about to age out of the foster system, only she's not ready and opts to stay. Her foster parents announce that there is an important family that is coming to see if they want to adopt. It's either going to be her or her foster sister, Meghan. And Liza doesn't even think that she's important enough to be adopted, after all Meghan is fifteen and she's eighteen.

When Liza goes on her normal nightly walk, she runs into a handsome stranger. Literally. She crashes to the ground and is injured and he helps her up, only to tell her something he thinks would surprise her but it doesn't because if there was good in the world like angels and demons and with the whole Adam and Eve situation with the tree of life, how would there not be anything that goes bump in the night? After all if you eat the fruit you are damned to eternal life as a supernatural.

After they part ways, she heads back to the foster home. But she passes out, going up the stairs.
