Bruised Fruit

Dana Joan (DJ), a junior in high school coming to terms with her sexuality. She's in love with one of her best friends, unsure of how to tell her, and struggles to accept her romantic feelings towards her. On top of that, all of DJ's friends seem to be falling apart right before her eyes. She grapples with their plethora of addictions, medical issues, and teenage mistakes. Through thick and thin, DJ endures the hardships of drifting away from close friends, discovering new ones, and rebuilding life from the ground up. She revels in the beauty of finding friendships in the unassuming crooks of life. But when it all takes a turn for the worse, what will she do? What lengths will she go to as a means of achieving an end to her suffering?
