A n e m i c - lack of soul.

Jennifer Clarke, daughter of Michael Clarke the multimillionaire, had it all. She had the looks, the cars, the money and the hearts of men in the palm of her hand.

But she also had fangs.

Miss Clarke liked to play with her food and never hesitated to sink her fangs into an unsuspecting victim. Most of her kind were like this though. They were never caught or suspected, their victims were left reminiscing what their night was the evening before.

They never had any problems. However; there was only one known thing that threatened their existence: hunters.

One night - just like any other - the hunters came and only wanted one thing. After taking an unwilling Jennifer to their base, she's left to fight her way out while an indignant and annoying yet determined and handsome man stands in her way.

All the while an even bigger threat is on the horizon. Hunters and vampires had fought for years but they'll have to come together to fight a danger that threatens not only the existence of vampires and hunters, but also humanity.

"You cannot be serious. You can't make me - us do this!" Lexa exclaims. That wasn't quite true and Lexa knew it. They could make her do whatever they wanted as long as it was legal. It did not need to be moral. That's something that was Lexa's own fault. She had signed her life away for the second time in her twenty-seven years of existing, making just that possible. "Oh, come on, sweetheart, don't hurt my feelings now. Dating me wouldn't be that bad. I am a great girlfriend," Clarke responds instantly, sounding genuinely offended, a little hurt, and definitely mocking. "Actually, you'll find that we can make you do this and much more. I can hand you the contract you signed of your own volition if you'd like to confirm," the producer says seriously. And there it was. Lexa resented that she had already thought of that little fact, but no matter her feelings about it, she'd have to do it regardless. "Besides, this will help both of you boost your odds of staying in The Tower. The viewers have been going wild for you two online after your last challenge." Everyone who had been selected to participate in The Commander's Tower had their own reasons for being there. Some were more honest about those reasons than others. But it all came down to one thing: the money. -- As per always, I will be putting trigger warnings below, and I will add to the list as new potential triggers become relevant to the story. Always feel free to let me know if I have missed any. TW: Strong language, mentions of substance abuse, PTSD, chronic pain, survivor's guilt, strong language, sexual content.

I did the one thing I promised her I would never do, no matter what, and now she hates me. She absolutely despises me and she's doing everything in her power to make my life a living hell, even if she hurts herself in the process. Even if it gets her killed. Not that my life wasn't a living hell before she started on her quest. It was. It has been ever since she left me and took my heart with her. Ever since she's turned into one of us. As per always, I will be putting trigger warnings below, and I will add to the list as new potential triggers become relevant to the story. Always feel free to let me know if I have missed any. TW: Strong language, blood and gore, murder, themes of suicide, sexual content, violence, very unhealthy copings mechanisms (e.g., alcohol and drug abuse), panic attacks. Disclaimer: this story will not portray a healthy relationship.
