The minimal light caught the barest outline of a still form, betraying no detail, no movement, only an unsettling, profound stillness that seemed to absorb the light rather than reflect it.
The only sound was the crackle and hiss of the torches, a rhythmic heartbeat in the otherwise tomb-like silence. 

My throat tightens. My knees wobble. My breath turns thin. My bones rattles. And my own heartbeat drumming like it's begging to escape my body.

Seconds turns into minutes, minutes into hour maybe. I dint know for how long I stood there but one thing was sure I'm not going to leave this room untouched. 

I saw the figure move over to the side and on the torch by the bed side. The sight that follows knock the air out of me.
