Nobody expected Y/N, Lia, and Matthis to ever become friends.
Not when Matthis showed up at our Gymnasium-quiet, awkward, fresh out of some strict boarding school, and instantly disliked by half the grade. He didn't fit in. Didn't even try to.
But somehow... he fit with us.

It wasn't some deep, cinematic friendship.
It was inside jokes that barely made sense, stupid dares in the hallway, and the kind of teasing that made teachers sigh and roll their eyes.
We weren't inseparable.
We were just... us. A weird little trio that shouldn't have worked, but did.

Feelings were just rumors. Crushes were temporary. And anything more than friendship? Yeah, definitely not happening. Especially not with Matthis.
