Songs, Sunshine, and Rain

Li-Hua, Lee for short, was a quiet girl. She was pressured by her parents to be the best, good grades, top student, future doctor, stuco president... she had ALOT on her plate, and she always felt so envious of other kids, of course... she knew they had struggles of their own... but she couldn't help but stare at this boy and be jealous of what he had. "Ezra" the name rolled off her tongue like a lollipop, leaving a sweet taste. She saw him every day, he was her next door neighbour after all... He sung in the fields behind their houses, laying in the grass... he would doodle in a small sketchbook he carried everywhere, then... he would get called in for dinner by his parents that Lee was oh, so jealous of... probably for a warm meal of homemade tomato soup and grilled cheese, a homey meal, not the soup that Lee had made herself that she had to eat in an empty house Infront of the TV.... but one day, a stormy one, Lee is laying in the grass, staring up at the gloomy sky... and Ezra appears next to her. A friendship blooming like the flowers in Lee's garden.
