Princess Aennîth Greenleaf, twin sister to Legolas, carries a curse as old as the Shadow itself. A forbidden magic coils through her veins, killing her slowly, claiming her strength, and threatening to consume what remains of her light. Only the destruction of the One Ring can save her... and the daughter of Elrond who shares her fate.

When the Fellowship is broken, and Aennîth is separated from her brother, she finds herself hunted across the golden plains of Rohan. Cornered by Riders of the Mark, she crosses paths with Éomer, the fierce Third Marshal whose blade is as sharp as his distrust of elves. But in the clash of steel and starlight, fate reveals a different path - one neither of them expected.
