Catalyst || Alastor Hartfelt x oc

/ˈkadləst/
noun
1. a person or thing that precipitates an event.

In a New Orleans carved apart by segregation and silence, two teenagers meet in the spaces between what is allowed and what is forbidden.

Calista Duveraux slips out of a world built to protect her-wealth, privilege, expectations-and into Alastor Hartfelt's neighborhood, where rules are harsher and futures are narrower. But Calista carries a secret even he cannot touch, one buried deep beneath her charm and clever smile.

Alastor, sharp-minded and soft-spoken, becomes her refuge without ever realizing how dangerous that role is. In her presence, he dares to dream of a life beyond survival-of being heard, of being more than what the world has decided he is allowed to be.

Love blooms where it shouldn't, threaded with risk, longing, and the unspoken understanding that the world would tear them apart if it knew.

Some secrets protect.
Some secrets rot.
And some love stories are doomed the moment they begin-beautiful, dangerous, and impossible to forget.
