THE VOID PAINTER

Sixteen-year-old Kai Rhae has always seen the world differently-literally. Shadows seem to breathe, memories slip away without warning, and their sketches feel too alive. But nothing prepares Kai for the day a drawing moves, a jar of black paint arrives on their doorstep unmarked, and a masked figure who looks exactly like an older version of them steps through a doorway made of ink.

When Kai touches the mysterious jar-Void Paint-their perception explodes into a terrifying new reality: glowing threads connect them to every person, place, and moment in existence... and some of those threads are already snapping.

With the help of Lyra, a sharp, stubborn archivist who can remember the parts of the world that have been erased, and Jin, the best friend who refuses to let cosmic horror ruin his sense of humor, Kai discovers a horrifying truth:

The Masked Painter-Kai's broken Echo from another timeline-warns that the world is unraveling. Dim Points open across the city. History is vanishing. The Void is whispering louder. And every second Kai hesitates, more of their identity slips away.

To stop themselves from becoming the very monster they fear, Kai must:

strengthen the fragile threads holding their timeline together,

confront the Echo determined to rewrite the future,
