Almost a year has passed since Caliope Fayleaf left to explore the world on her own, when she suddenly has to return, due to an unforeseen incident: Ziminar has gone missing in Shadowmoon Valley and in order to find him, Caliope must face a decade-old falling-out with one of the spymasters of Silvermoon.

As the soulshard that Ziminar extracted when he pulled Ekkorash out threatens to reach a breaking point, new allies come forth in their battle against the powerful Shivarra, but are numbers simply enough?
