One day, Daisy is not able to control her actions, leading to her family's deaths. She runs away and meets a seven year old named Maya, who was abandoned as a baby due to her mark. Maya is very mature for her age and helps Daisy. Maya tells her about the star mark and Daisy discovers it on her back. Maya tells her everything about the Starhunters and Starbearers, making Daisy very angry and upset. Daisy promises Maya that she will change this fucked up world, but will she?
