Lilith. Sometimes I dream that I smell smoke. It's not a normal dream, it's so real that I wake up with my throat burning and my fingers clenching the sheets as if they were flames. I never tell anyone that I hate lit fireplaces, that a simple candle terrifies me, that when someone lights a bonfire I stare at the fire until my eyes burn. Because if I stare long enough, I might see what I don't want to remember again. That night I couldn't move. I stayed. And something inside me burned with it. Elith. The water is always too cold. Even in summer, even in the shower, even if it's just ice in a glass, I feel like it's burning me. I wake up gasping for air, my lips purple and my lungs filled with a lake that no longer exists. I never mention that I don't swim in pools, that I walk past fountains, that I hate the rain because it sounds just like that night. That night I sank. And when they pulled me out, a part of me stayed down there, frozen forever.

They performed her last rites, while she was still alive. Akshara Maheshwari was erased from her own family before she could even understand what she had done wrong. Abandoned, forgotten, and declared dead, she disappeared from the world that once called her blood. Years later, she returns.. not as a broken child begging for answers, but as AK - a name the world admires, fears, and follows. She doesn't come back for forgiveness. She doesn't ask for love. And she doesn't reveal herself easily. Because some wounds don't need apologies... they need truth, power, and reckoning. As the Maheshwaris celebrate, lie, and protect their secrets, the past claws its way back into the present. A past involving betrayal, silence, a sold child, and a savior who changed her fate.
