in tulsa, oklahoma 1963, before the kids cared enough about social status, the curtis's and baker's got along. taya baker laughed at every one of sodapop curtis's bad jokes, pretending her heart wasn't tangled up in her love for him. soda loved her, plain and simple. but he wouldn't dare to tell her.

 in tulsa oklahoma 1967, the curtis's and baker's don't get along. socs, greasers, everything in between, keeping them away from eachother. social status, worthiness, power and fortune. the socs hate the greasers, and the greasers hate the socs.

now, ponyboy & johnny are missing, darry's flooding in bills, chet is trying his hardest to fit in with the socs but, taya and soda are just trying to survive.
