The Jewel Within

One night changed it all for Sapphire Jewel. The night that she lost everything was the night that survival began. Over the course of seven years, she spent her time hiding away in the Everfree forest in fear that she would be hunted down.

like most Unicorns, she had magic. However, the magic wasn't fully hers. In fact, she tapped into a feared type of magic- one that was only recently seen after a thousand years. She had learned the magic from a book she stole from her father before the incident. however, She never thought it could have been the reason for it all.

One day, a filly stumbled through the forest, lost during a school trip that she had gotten distracted from. Having lost her way, she lost hope and started to cry, which Sapphire happens to be nearly enough to hear. Despite her fear, she helps the filly which creates a chain of events that lead heron her own journey through Equestria to find herself and to move towards her own destiny. But with the magic she holds, can she truly have a bright future, or is she destined for the darkness that dwells inside her?
