Louis didn't understand why Liam had left. He honestly thought they would last forever. He thought it'd be different this time if he opened his heart one last time and maybe if it wasn't, he'd be able to deal with it because if he dealt with it once, he could do it again, right? Wrong. The heartache he felt then was nothing compared to the heartbreaking pain he felt now that Liam was gone. And what makes it worse is that Liam didn't give him a reason, a true reason. Why did he leave?

But Liam did have his reasons for leaving. They had nothing to do with Louis but everything to do with him at the same time. Liam was just trying to protect Louis, he had never wanted to hurt him... That's why he had leave, just in case.

The Orphan 2 - Lilo Fanfic

20 parts Complete Mature

The thing is, Louis was a worrier. He always had been and probably always would be. With his past, it was kind of inevitable. He worried about everything. He worried about his brother Harry's lifestyle and the decisions he makes. He worried about his mum thinking that he might be getting too close to his biological mother, that she might think that he didn't love her anymore even though that was ridiculous. He worried about his son being picked on at school because he knew he was when he was a kid. He worried about his fire fighting husband Liam coming home injured, or not at all. Louis tried not to let his worries get the best of him but it was difficult. He fears that one day they will become more than just a worry, and fears that one day nobody, including Liam, will put up with it anymore. What happens when that day actually comes?
