Hell, they didn't even hold the weight that once was a promise to her former mentor and the people of Paris. No. Now these earrings held a weight so heavy that it pressed on every fiber of Marinette's being. A weight so heavy that sometimes Marinette had to remind herself how to breathe, if she could even do that.
