A Diary of Unsaid Things

They handed me their pity
like a verdict, like a scar,
their disappointment lingering
no matter who I am.
I learned to quiet every ache,
to hide what they ignored-
a heart left waiting at a door
that never opened anymore.

Still I move through hollow rooms
where love should've been my guide,
carrying the silence
that their neglect left inside.
Not broken-just exhausted
from the weight they made me bear,
a soul too worn to feel the hurt
yet still wishing someone cared.
