Seventeen-year-old Blake Carter has been raised on football fields her whole life. Her dad, Coach Carter, is a legend at Ridgeview High-tough, respected, and protective to a fault. Blake isn't just the coach's daughter; she's the team's unofficial strategist, water girl, hype woman, and the closest thing the boys have to royalty. Every guy on the team wants a chance with her- but Coach Carter has one rule: "No one touches my daughter." Blake rolls her eyes at that rule daily. Especially when it comes to Jaxon Hale. Jaxon is the star wide receiver-cocky, gorgeous, reckless, and the biggest player in the district. He's known for breaking hearts, skipping consequences, and letting girls wear his jersey for a week before forgetting their names. Blake can't stand him. And Jaxon? He swears Blake's the only girl on earth who gets under his skin. They clash constantly-practices, games, film room nights, bus rides. She calls him out on his ego. He calls her "Princess Carter" just to watch her glare. And yet... there's heat. Undeniable, electric heat. When Blake saves his butt during a tough game by giving the team a last-minute play adjustment, Jaxon starts looking at her differently-like he's seeing the real girl beneath the coach's-daughter armor. A rivalry becomes an uneasy friendship. A friendship becomes late-night arguments in the empty stadium. Those arguments become almost-kisses. And then one night-after a game they narrowly win-Blake and Jaxon finally cross the line they've been dancing around for months. But Coach Carter can never find out. But the real conflict hits when the team's biggest rival exposes their relationship right before the playoffs, threatening Jaxon's starting position and Coach Carter's job. Now Blake must decide if she's willing to risk her dad's trust- and Jaxon must decide if he loves her enough to fight for her publicly. A forbidden romance that tests loyalty, heart, and the rules that were never meant to be broken.

Valeria didn't rush. She never did. Inez was pinned beneath her, wrist locked overhead, the hold precise and impersonal. Not pain. Control. Inez scoffed anyway. "That's it?" she sneered. "I've had tutors scarier than you." Valeria said nothing. The silence pressed in. "You don't scare me," Inez added, louder. Brattier. "You just-" "Enough." One word. Flat. Final. Valeria lifted Inez's chin with two fingers, detached as a correction. "Look at me," she said coolly. "If you're going to embarrass yourself, do it properly." Inez laughed, brittle. "You think this makes you powerful?" "I don't think," Valeria replied. "I decide." Her gaze never wavered. "You provoke because it's the last control you have." "I don't belong to you," Inez snapped. Valeria leaned in, voice razor-thin. "You are my wife. You belong to consequences." She released her grip. "Say it." "No." Valeria waited. The quiet broke Inez, she hated being ignored. "...I'll behave, I'll be a good girl" Inez muttered. "Specify." Inez swallowed hard. "...I'll be your good girl" Valeria stepped back, already distant. "Good," she said. "Remember why." #1 older women-13th February (FAST PACE BOOK)
