Wendy Darling had it all. At least that's what everyone around her said. Her father was tough, and his expectations for her grew by the day. To him, she was a bargaining chip. If the family hit a financial crisis or her good name was tarnished, he could just marry her off to whoever paid the price. Returning from her night in Neverland, Wendy couldn't stop thinking about how wonderful it would be to be free. Like a bird. Without the obligations of being an older sister or a firstborn daughter. There she was, Wendy. She returned to Neverland, Peter was not particularly pleased with her return. He kept her in a cage, waiting for the moment to use her to win the heart of the true believer. But his obsession with her grew by the day. She was his pet bird. His fledgling. And he had no intention of letting her go. So he acted in the only way he knew how to ensure the safety of his things. He took her to the fairies in the forest, and gave her wings as a gift. Every full moon, his Wendy turns into a little blue bird, which he locks in a golden cage in his room. Except for the times he lets her out to play, under Felix's supervision, of course. Nothing will take her away from him, he thought. But when Henry frees her from her cage, she's no longer so sure she wants to escape. All Rights Reserved
