Spencer O'Neil swore to himself that it was a one-time thing until it became a two-time thing and then a three-time thing. But something about Colter Brown made Spencer forget all about logic and reality. Besides, it didn't hurt to hook up with someone who had their own reasons for staying in the closet. It becomes notably complicated, however, when Spencer is traded to Colter Brown's team. Colter swears that being teammates was good for the arrangement, "When have you ever questioned two teammates being close?" Neither of them considered that with a new ability to spend more time together, things would change between them. Add on the complexity of staying silent about sexuality in a league that is taking a new, decidedly harsh, view of queer players and family complications. It was so simple the first time. Now Colter and Spencer have to dangle around barriers to score on their emotions.

Too anxious and unsure of himself to really live, he sits alone in his tiny apartment and tries to stay distracted. He stays quiet, hoping to go unnoticed by the world.
