Year 2056. Project Omniverse has become the number one VR game in the world-a massive virtual realm where in-game currency can be used as real money. Behind it stands Synapse Genesis, the giant corporation that created Pulse, a multifunctional wrist device that replaced smartphones and has become a basic necessity for humanity.
I'm a 22-year-old guy with a barely sufficient paycheck, and all I could do was dream of playing that game. Until one day, I found a secondhand VR device being sold for cheap. I thought my life would change-and it did, just not in the way I expected.
From the moment I logged in, everything went off the rails. From an ordinary convenience-store clerk, I turned into the most underdog newbie to ever set foot in Project Omniverse. Everyone else fights for wealth and glory; I just want to play casually. Unfortunately, this game doesn't come with an easy mode.
I got thrown into the most brutal server, greeted by misfortune after misfortune, and nearly gave up more times than I can count. But in the middle of all that chaos, I realized one thing:
Life inside a game isn't as simple as I hoped-but maybe, this is exactly where my real adventure begins.
