Arundhati Sen, a dark and sharp minded ninth-grade topper who has always trusted her instincts. One afternoon while heading to tuition, she notices an unusual flicker of blasting flames at the farthest most ignored corner of her school grounds.
Curiosity pulls her closer, only for her to find a female non-teaching staff member hurriedly feeding objects into a small fire. When Arundhati calmly asks what she's doing, the woman stutters, avoids her eyes, and quickly flees the scene leaving behind a half-burnt mess and a deeper sense of wrongness.
The incident refuses to leave Arundhati's mind.
And adding to the confusion is Nishant Singhania the tall, tan, cricket-obsessed team captain who has secretly liked her for years. Without meaning to, he keeps giving her small pieces of information things he saw, things he heard, things he shouldn't know... all of which pull her closer to the truth.
As the mystery behind the fire thickens Arundhati Sen must figure out why the staff member was burning something which she couldn't identify in the school premises, what secrets the school might be hiding, and why Nishant always seems to appear at the right time,with clues he doesn't realize are clues.
And in the middle of smoke, secrets, and suspicion... something new might quietly begin to grow between them.
