In order to not face any consequences, you propose a deal where you ultimately owe Vox, the powerful media overlord a favor of his choosing, any time he pleases. To essentially gain from this he calls a meeting with your fellow overlords the very next day. This is where he announces your engagement to him without telling you beforehand, ultimately making you share sources and power and put on an act infront of hell.
