When Tuccé takes on a job for a learned Kannai, he finds himself thrust into a race to find evidence of that long lost society. After his mentor dies, he comes into contact with the man's daughter, and, together, they continue her father's search.
From bustling cities, to villages threatened by a volcano, to the mountains that divide the island, Tuccé and Yurivno must stay one step ahead of other, more sinister parties in search of the lost city.
And who is the mysterious old woman that attaches herself to Tuccé and Yurivno, aiding them in their search. Who is 'Ankūro'?
