BURNED BY FATE
Ten years ago, I broke her.Back then, we were just school kids-rivals, toppers, always one step apart. I couldn't bear the thought of her beating me. So, I did the unthinkable. I faked love.
I told her I loved her... just to distract her from her studies. I played the perfect lover-walked beside her, stood up for her, made her feel safe. She believed me. She trusted me. She fell in love.
And when the results came, when I finally topped the school-I shattered her. I told her it was all a lie.
She didn't cry. She didn't scream.
She just... left.
Left the country. Left me with a guilt that never stopped eating me alive. And only then did I realize-somewhere in all that pretending... I had truly fallen for her.
But it was too late.
Now, ten years later, she's back..
Not as the same girl I left behind-but as a woman who's stronger, colder... and sitting beside me in this sacred moment, where we're being bound together in marriage-an arranged one set by our families.
But something tells me this marriage isn't about new beginnings for her.
It's about revenge.
