Amiya's quiet life in the shadow of Xylos was shattered when the reptilian warriors burned her family's cottage. Gravely wounded, she was taken not by the invaders, but by something older-Alcona, an ancient dragon whispered of in fearful legends.

In the echoing black of Alcona's cavern, healing came at a cost. Magic seeped into Amiya's bones, peeling away her humanity. Snow-pale scales replaced skin, her heartbeat deepened into a low, thrumming growl. Alcona spoke of Mystara, the dragons' hidden realm, where survival meant strength and cunning. Amiya's mind rebelled as alien instincts clawed at her thoughts-hunger for the wind, distrust of the weak, and an urge to dominate.

Among the dragons of Mystara, she discovered a fractured society-wings shadowed by ancient feuds, and rumors of a power rising from the deep to bind dragonkind. The Ciakar were not their enemies alone; an older evil stirred, one tied to the curse that had haunted her family's bloodline.
