Ruby Reflections (A Sonic Forces Fanmade Sequel)

A few years have passed since the Resistance was able to foil Dr. Eggman's plan to conquer the world. Most of the soldiers had either embarked on new adventures or returned home after rebuilding all that was destroyed. The war had taken its toll on so many young minds. The haunting illusions became nightmares, driving former warriors to seek professional help.

Now, the remaining members of the Resistance searched for the Phantom Ruby. A small handful of them wanted to locate their old adversary, Infinite the Jackal. They formed several search and rescue groups and sent them out in hopes of finding either of them. Only one was successful in locating the Phantom Ruby inside Dr. Eggman's rebuilt base where it was discovered that there was a body trapped inside the gem. The Resistance then resolved to retrieve the Phantom Ruby and save whoever was in it before the doctor could have the chance upon the realization that a certain jackal was trapped within.

After being freed from the Phantom Ruby and it's control, Infinite decides to redeem himself by working for the Resistance regains his old identity. One day, guards from a secluded kingdom come and take him from Resistance HQ and he is once again held captive. Upon meeting the princess, he learns about a great tragedy that had happened recently and vows to warn the Resistance of another war coming. But what happens when the princess goes missing along with several Resistance fighters? Will old friendships be torn apart as new relationships form? Will Zero "Infinite" the Jackal be able to recover or will the Phantom Ruby completely take over his mind and body?
