Sugar and Starlight

Nellie Davis has finally shaken free of the life that was slowly shrinking her. Plus-sized, stubbornly kind, and done apologizing for taking up space, she's pouring her heart, savings, and far too much caffeine into a small bakery of her own. The ovens are warm, but business is not, and her hard-won hope is beginning to falter.

Then a little girl with a crown of unruly curls and a guarded father step through her door. Their arrival feels oddly fated, their presence disarming. And as they return, again and again, Nellie starts to rediscover pieces of herself she thought she'd lost and stumbles into a story far bigger than the one she set out to write.
