"I can't promise you that, it's so unreal" he said with a blunt attitude and a cocky smirk. 

"B-but why not?" I asked staring at his dark brown pupils, it always caught my attention that they were dark as ink, but compared to them, nothing shined quite as bright. 

"Rose, don't get too attached to me, I've done horrible things to girls who did so" he spoke placing

 the cigarette back between his pink lips. I sighed as the smell of nicotine filled my lungs, and clouds of grey smoke filled the air. 

"You know I won't be able to take it, you know how I'll end up right?" my voice cracked in the end of the sentence, and I felt my heart beat rate increase as the urge to scratch became unbearable. 

"I know" 

"Then promise me, please" I felt my arm itch, and my mouth went drier and drier each second. I refused to look at him anymore, as all my attention completely went to my trembling itchy hands.


"I promise I'll try" he spoke after a long pause of anxious silence for me, and what seemed like deep thought for him.
