Marked by the Assassin

Nikolai Velez was supposed to die.

At age 10, he was the only survivor of a massacre that wiped out his mafia family. Rumor says the hitman spared him because even then, he looked him straight in the eyes without blinking.

Ten years later, that same hitman, now the most feared assassin in the city returns with a new order:

Kill the Velez heir.
For real this time.

But when he breaks into Nikolai's apartment at midnight...
Nikolai is waiting for him.

And instead of being afraid, he says:

"If you're going to kill me, at least let me die knowing why you spared me the first time."

The hitman hesitates one fatal second.
